Working to improve bilingual education for our future.
Here to help your students thrive
After years of personal and professional experience with language acquisition in various settings (second language enrichment, one-way and two-way dual language immersion, English learners, and some Deaf and Hard of Hearing), I decided it was time to offer support on a broader scale to support bilingual and multilingual environments.
Overcome your obstacles
Identify your starting point
If you already have bilingual programming, I can help you evaluate it. If you do not, I can assist in building a solid plan.
Professional development
Learning should happen at every level of the school system to better support bilingual education success.
Identify measurable goals
Setting measurable goals can help stakeholders realize the value of bilingual programming.
Bilingual recognition
Use systems to reward students when they achieve bilingualism. There are awards available in many states and nationally. You can even design a local system.
Contract us for distance learning options that can help your staff better understand linguistically diverse students, better meet the needs of bilingual learners, and/or understand federal guidelines for English Learner support.

Tia’s experience, resources, and advice were invaluable to my first year as an immersion teacher. Thanks to her years of experience in immersion classrooms at various levels, Tia had insights and solutions to even the most nuanced issues that I faced whether related to classroom management, time management, or lesson planning in French, math, science, or social studies.
When I was overwhelmed and not sure where to turn, our solution-oriented conversations often included offers to help build or search for resources that I needed. She even helped me to reimagine my math lessons by teaching my class and allowing me to observe. My students loved the engaging approach that she used.
Tia’s years of experience with French immersion programs give her unique foresight and understanding of how to best integrate and align curricula of each subject to create more cohesive lesson plans that maximize student learning and teacher effectiveness.

“I am a 7th grade English teacher who had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Tia. If you need some advising, consulting, a helping hand, or an advocate you have come to the right person when considering working with her. She has taken on all of these roles during her time working with me. She has advocated several times on behalf of my Spanish-speaking students, she has had my back and helped me to navigate difficult situations as a first-time teacher, and most importantly, she has helped give me the tools I need to be successful in teaching all kids in my class. It didn't matter the background or learning style of a student. She always had an answer or suggestion, and if she could not think of the perfect solution at that moment, she would do her research and come back with a solution. I cannot say enough good things about Mrs. Tia. You will be lucky to have her!
